To further promote the construction and high-quality development of School of International Education, on the morning of September 4th, SSPU President Xie Huaqing and Deputy Secretary of SSPU Party Committee Wu Peidong visited School of International Education for research. The heads of relevant functional departments such as the University Office, Academic Affairs Office, and Logistics Service Center accompanied them. The leaders of School of International Education and related faculty members participated.
University leaders conducted on-site inspections of the spatial layout of the new office area of the college, understanding the implementation of international students' immigration and emigration affairs, information exchange activities, and the improvement of the working conditions for faculty members. They expressed affirmation for the college's empowerment of international education through university-enterprise cooperation and provided suggestions for the layout and facilities that need further improvement. At the same time, they acknowledged the progress the college has made in recent years in areas such as international student education and international Chinese language education, the construction of teaching staff teams, and the application for professional master's degree programs.
Xie Huaqing pointed out that School of International Education should take the relocation to a new site and the improvement of conditions as an opportunity to set clear goals and persistently strive for long-term results. It should further advance the construction of teaching, research, and talent teams, effectively enhance the effectiveness of education, and continue to actively integrate into and positively empower the connotative development of the school. Wu Peidong pointed out that while taking the lead in managing international student education, the college should align with the development requirements of the international Chinese language education discipline, further strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, and form its own research characteristics.
This survey not only reflects the school leaders' high regard and strong support for the college's work, but also points out the direction for the college's subsequent development. All faculty and staff members of the college will adhere to the principle of innovation, maintain a diligent and pragmatic work ethic, and strive to create a new situation of high-quality development for the college.
