On October 9, 2024, the School of International Education /Office of International Student Affairs announcement meeting will be held in Room 209 of Building 19. Yang Shunli, the head of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the university, will attend and chair the meeting, with Wang Li, the deputy head of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the university, and all faculty members of the School of International Education / Office of International Student Affairs.
According to the agenda, the announcement of the appointment of cadres will be made by Wang Li, the deputy head of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the university. Comrade Zhang Tiantian is appointed as the deputy dean of the School of International Education and the deputy director of the Office of International Student Affairs on probation for one year.
Comrade Zhang Tiantian spoke first, expressing her heartfelt gratitude for the trust and cultivation of the university party committee, and also feeling the great responsibility. She stated that she would spare no effort in the future, actively adapt to the new role, and effectively fulfill the new mission. She plans to focus on three aspects of work: First, continuously improving political literacy, strengthening the sense of responsibility, and fully cooperating with the dean to do a good job in the college under the strong leadership of the university party committee; Second, maintaining a humble and prudent work style, inheriting and carrying forward the craftsmanship spirit and model worker spirit of the school, asking for advice more, listening more, going deeper, and actively exploring new ideas and methods for work; Third, leveraging her own professional experience and strengths, committed to advancing the education of international students and international Chinese education work of our university, injecting vitality into the development of the universitys international education.
Sun Yan, Party Branch Secretary and Dean of School of International Education, Director of International Student Affairs, made a speech. Sun Yan thanked the university party committee for its high attention to the construction of the colleges leadership and the development of the college, calling on all faculty and students of the college to continue to support the work of the colleges leadership as always, effectively unify thoughts and actions with the deployment of work of the university and the college, unite and collaborate, forge ahead. She expressed hopes and requirements for Comrade Zhang Tiantian, to quickly change roles, become familiar with the requirements of the new position, face challenges bravely, continuously improve administrative management capabilities, and contribute greater strength to the reform and development of the college and the university. At the same time, it was pointed out that in the new journey of advancing the high-quality development of the college and the university, all faculty and students should adhere to emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts, keep pace with the times and be brave in innovation, always maintain a humble, prudent, not arrogant, not impetuous style, take the initiative to take responsibility, act in reality, be brave in opening up a new situation of high-quality development.
Finally, Minister Yang Shunli spoke on behalf of the university party committee. He stated that the university party committee attaches great importance to the development of the School of International Education and the Office of International Student Affairs. As an important window for the internationalization of the university, although the number of faculty members in the college is small, the work is very effective, and the leadership team is capable and cohesive. This appointment is an important decision of the university party committee and also reflects full affirmation and support for the development of the School of International Education and the Office of International Student Affairs. He hopes that Comrade Zhang Tiantian will bravely face the challenge of carrying two responsibilities, be a good assistant to the secretary and dean, continuously improve management capabilities, and contribute more strength to the development of the university.
