On January 22nd, the first-floor restaurant of the West Food Court at Shanghai Polytechnic University was filled with joy and warmth as the New Years Eve celebration for teachers and students staying on campus was held as scheduled. University leaders Lu Min, Xie Huaqing, Wu Peidong, Xu Yufang, and Bai Jianfeng, along with heads of relevant functional departments, student affairs leaders from various colleges, counselors, and students staying on campus gathered together to congratulate each other on the Spring Festival.Fifty international students from countries such as Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Laos, and Uganda joined Chinese teachers and students in celebrating the joyous atmosphere of the traditional Chinese New Year.
President Xie Huaqing delivered a speech. He stated that in 2024, with the joint efforts of all teachers and students, the university continued to make progress in party building and educational reform, achieving the best results in the universitys classification evaluation, and maintaining its position in the first tier among similar institutions. In 2025, the university will further anchor the goal of building a high-level applied technology university, starting with the word dry, striving to be the first, forging innovation, and persisting in the long term to push the cause to a new level. International students KURALOV MAXIM and BAKHYTZHANKYZY KORKEM from Kazakhstan, as representatives of international students, wrote spring couplets on the spot: Dreams of studying a thousand miles away soar, the golden snake dances with even greater ambition. KURALOV MAXIM from the 24 e-commerce (English) program of the School of Economics and Management expressed the feelings of all international students: they came from afar to study and pursue dreams at Shanghai Polytechnic University, flying their dreams over this land of the East.
